Hello World!
Welcome to Adorn Decorating!
Let me start off by introducing myself, my name is Alexandra. I’ve been meaning to start up this blog for a while now but anxiety always got the best of me and so I kept putting it off. Given the current world circumstances, I have some extra time on my hand so here we are.
A little introduction, interior decorating has been something I have loved for a long while now. I remember being a teen and just deciding to redecorate my room on a whim, and this happened a number of times during the year. So I would love to share not only my space and how I have decorated it but also tips and tricks I’ve taught myself through the years. And now that so many of us are working from home stay tuned for inspiration on making a home office work when space is tight.
Why is my page a little bit different? Well we are going to talk a lot about how your space can either mess with or help your mental health. A huge reason I started really getting into interior decorating was to help improve my own mental health. Not only does a clean and organized space make me feel less anxious but when I feel down or stuck changing things up helps me get out of my own head and into a better space.
So a little bit more about me, I grew up and still live, in Toronto, I live with my amazing partner who lets me decorate however I want so clearly a keeper. I’m a mom to the best kitten ever named Venus, for more on her make sure to check out my Instagram page! I love to read, so much so, that I actually started up a book club with some of my girlfriends, I do work full time and have recently taken up yoga!
