30 Days of Yoga

Hey Y’all

For the past 30 days I have been incorporating yoga into my daily routine. And let me tell you it’s been SO beneficial.

I have been doing yoga on and off for give or take ten years. One of my favourite resource for yoga is Yoga with Adriene.

So ten years of doing yoga and I noticed that I haven’t improved, like at all. I keep saying I want to be good at yoga, be able to have both heals on the ground in downward dog, have a strong crow pose, be able to get all zen, but I keep stopping.

Back to Yoga with Adriene, this super star releases a 30 day yoga journey. Every single month. I have been following them on and obviously off for a bit, and when I get to the first weekend of the month I try and follow I fall RIGHT off.

This month I promised myself I would do it for the 30 days. On the days I really didn’t feel like it, I really made a point to push myself to the mat, even if it meant that I was mostly in child pose.

I missed a couple of days and I need to remember that doesn’t mean I failed the month. A mindset shift I’m working on adjusting.

I’m planning on following the monthly calendar for the remainder of the year. I don’t think I will be able to do it for 365 days honestly but if I get most of the days in each month done I’ll be happy. At the end of the year I hope to report that I can have my heals on the ground!

Daily yoga has really helped me relax and helped me stay calm throughout the day. My headaches have gone down. And I’m able to not fidget during shavasana.

My flexibility has increased quite a bit, and my back pain has significantly improved.

I can’t wait to see what the next months hold!

Do you practice yoga?!
