Small Space Storage Solutions
Hi Friends!
Just over a year ago, I moved into a 600 square foot condo and it has been quite the adjustment. I have had to manage to find different types of storage solutions in a small space, and it has taken some time but over the next few months I would like to share my tips with you!
Today I am going to start with office storage. I have quite the amount of paperwork, I try to use iCloud for most of my stuff but there are just some things I would rather have a physical copy of. My ‘office’ space is in my living room so I did not want to have all of my paperwork all over my desk.
Next to my desk I have a bar cart, and for those living in a tight space, this is a great place to add some additional storage!
I have a three shelf bar cart from Ikea, and I use the first two shelves for typical bar cart stuff but I have converted the bottom shelf to house mine and my partners paperwork!
I have expanding file folders from Chapterts which I have always used for paperwork, and found the bottom shelf of the bar cart the perfect space for them.
I love these file folders because they look really pretty, they can be quite inexpensive and they hold a lot of papers. Chapters tends to change up the designs on them based on season, so if you don’t like their selection, Amazon always has a great selection as well!
Between the wall and the bar cart I keep a black pad-folio with all of my current work items and I also store my notebook and daily agenda there for easy access. I like to put everything away when I’m done work for the day, it’s a routine I practice to let myself know that it’s officially time to relax. So having a small place to tuck everything away has been great!
There you have it! Some really simple and cost effective storage solutions when you might be running low on space.
