Cozy Up For Fall

Hi Friends!

Obviously I love to decorate, I mean hello started a blog about it. Today I’m going to share some tips for cozying up your space for fall.

I’m sorry to anyone who doesn’t want summer to end, but I’m all to ready for spooky season. So let’s get into it.

Tip #1 carpet!
This is a new one for me, I’ve always loved the way a carpet made a room look but I never took the time to make one work in my space. I was at Ikea with my cousin and came across this carpet, and when you see a carpet for $15 you can’t not buy it.

A carpet always cozy’s up a room. It will make it look a bit smaller but in the spirit of making things feel cozy I’m personally thinking this is beneficial. Knowing that a carpet will make a room feel smaller and knowing that my space is small, I did opt for a lighter colour to not close up the space too much.

Tip #2 all the blankets.
No surprise here, nothing cozies up a space more then blankets. I love to layer up on textures and colours. I found my new favourite blanket on Amazon earlier this month. I was very sceptical because of the price, but the colour is perfect, it’s a beautiful blanket and big enough to curl up with! Totally planning on getting the green one for the Christmas holiday season.

Tip #3 candles.
Again, obvious. I no longer burn candles, because kitten is way too curious and I’m scared that she will go after it. I still like to take my favourite fall candle out and maybe light it every once in a while when the kitten is sleepy or in another room.

I found a candle last year at Winners, Black Pine and Oak Moss, it smells like walking through a forest with a good looking man doused in cologne. So I mean can’t say no to something that smells like that. I am on the hunt for another one since this one is burned just over halfway now.

Tip #4 coffee table decor.
A really easy way to incorporate small accent items to really spruce up for fall. One of my favourites is fake plants! I tend to go towards fake plants because honestly I’ve killed a cacti which I honestly thought was impossible.
